R&R FOR VETS OCTOBER 2024 NEWS:  START: JONATHAN SANCHEZ OPEN HOUSE

In April 2023, Marine veteran Jonathan Sanchez and his daughter Faith were featured on the front page of The Santa Fe New Mexican.  The headline was “With a Little Help, Vet Gets Fresh Start.” After serving two tours in Afghanistan, Jonathan needed community support. Alan Vigil donated a mobile home, and the community rallied, providing funds and help with the move and setup.

Fast forward to October 5, 2024, when the Sanchez family held an open house in their now fully remodeled mobile home. Faith was thrilled to give guests a tour of her newly furnished bedroom. It is her first room of her own—complete with her very own bathroom, all thanks to generous community donations. Jonathan, with the help of his father and many volunteers, transformed the home into a warm and comfortable space. R&R for Vets thanks everyone who helped give Jonathan and Faith a fresh start. With our community’s incredible support, we demonstrated how much can be achieved when everyone works together.
