Recognition and Gratitude: Sharing these events allows the community to recognize and express gratitude towards veterans for their service and sacrifice. It’s a way to honor their commitment to protecting and preserving the country’s freedoms.
Awareness: By sharing veterans’ events and activities, the community becomes more aware of veterans’ challenges. Challenges include transitioning to civilian life, accessing healthcare, or finding employment. Awareness leads to increased support and resources for veterans.
Unity and Solidarity: Veterans’ events unite community members, veterans, and their families, fostering a sense of unity and solidarity. It shows that the community stands with its veter
ans and supports them in their endeavors.
Networking and Support: Moreover, events allow veterans to connect with organizations offering support services. Networking within the veteran community is valuable for sharing experiences, finding resources, and building friendships.

The ceremony will take place on April 10th at 4:30 pm (All must be seated by then.)

ARMY VETERAN-TURNED-ARTIST PETER FASANO’S STUNNING CREATIONS
GRACE SANTA FE CITY HALL
Peter Fasano, a Vietnam veteran living in Santa Fe, New Mexico, currently displays his work at Santa Fe City Hall, specifically in the hallway leading to the Council Chambers. He accidentally stumbled into the business of creating and selling hand-silk screens, hand-painted fabrics, and wall coverings. After his discharge from the army, he embarked on a journey into painting, eventually showcasing his business’s establishment in fifteen U.S. states and various other countries. Peter Fasano is an abstract, minimalist artist. Fasano actively invites viewers to immerse themselves in his distinctive perspective, carefully curating each piece. This illuminates how Fasano transitioned from military service to artistic self-expression, offering insight into his evolving creativity.
“My life has always seemed to revolve around lines, grids and repetition. Abstract art is my North Star. I have been working on a variety of substrates, including joss paper, scratch board, aqua board, using pencil, ink and watercolor. With Elizabeth Hamilton, my wife and business partner of 45 years, I don’t think I’ve ever been happier in my life.” – PETER FASANO.

Bright Smiles Ahead: Free Dental Clinic Opens in Santa Fe
The NM Mission of Mercy (NM MOM) is returning to Santa Fe, offering a beacon of hope for those unable to afford dental care. At the Santa Fe Community Convention Center on April 26–27, 2024, NM MOM will provide two days of free dental services. Thanks to volunteer professionals, the clinic service includes cleanings and fillings. This event follows a first-come, first-served policy, providing equal access to all attendees. All in need are invited, with no questions asked. MARK YOUR CALENDAR!
Volunteers and sponsors unite to provide a broad spectrum of dental treatments in a community effort. This initiative provides essential care. Ramps for New Mexico’s Veterans and Others in Need
R & R for Vets provides ramps for our local veterans and their surviving spouses in need without cost to them.
In New Mexico, another source is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides ramps to everyone in need. The service is offered to everyone in need. The New Mexico Ramp Project builds ramps to ensure that everyone in New Mexico can get into their homes without worrying about cash. A team of volunteers does all the work.
